The Power of Persistence

A three-part video series of readings, music and art celebrating 100 years of women’s right to vote by looking back, and to the future, at the strength, resiliency, and persistence of the women’s movement.

SuffrageForward, a women's rights and advocacy group based in Nyack, presents a three-part video series featuring local and national celebrities, including Jane Fonda, Muriel Fox, Jamie Margolin, Gloria Steinem, Tara Rosenblum, The Chapin Family, Dr. Frances Pratt, Shirley Crabbe and others to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment. Watch them “on-demand,” anytime by clicking below.

This compilation of poems, correspondence, speeches, music and art created by or inspired by Suffrage Activists and Women's Rights Pioneers helps tell the inspiring story of how persistence over generations powered women's demand for the vote and equal rights for women. The struggle was transforming and radical and made all Americans revisit the country's commitment to democracy.
